 JAN PETERSEN was born on 6th of June 1970 in Braunschweig. He started to play the guitar at the age of 16. He developed his style playing along with his favourite records from bands like AC/DC, Iron Maiden and Metallica. In the past Jan joint several bands, he played gigs and studiojobs for Esprit, Instrumental Garbage, Krüger, Sophistree, Moaliza among others. Since december 2007 he is a permanent member of SYLVAN. Beside Sylvan Jan plays with "das halbe Quartett", an acoustic-guitar-jazz-duo. He also is part of "Beyond the Blue", a progressive rock studio project.
